There are major dual carridge ways where i live ( a roads leading to the m1 that have a 40 limit! Its an utter joke.
It cant be for saftey because further up on the same road its a national, where you can easy sit at a 100 as its straight as the eye can see for bout 4 miles.

I'm willing to guess that she wasn't on a dual carriageway but perhaps a town. Then I don't agree with 70 in a 40! However, I speed and can happily admit that, but I do it where I think is safe, y'know? I wasn't on any high horse!

in the how fast have you been thread many people claimed rediculous numbers so is 70 in a 40 not as dangerous as 170+ on a 70? people on this site need to take a look at themselves before passing judgement imo

i got caught doing 90 in a 40, just a marked car that came out of no where. It was funny as they were cocky and asked if i was trying to break the landspeed record

TBH I know loads of people get on their high horse when people say they have been done for speeding....but 70 in a 40 is stupid, and worse than that 90 in a 40 is just fucking retarded.

Theresa dual carriageway near me that was a 60limit, and now reduced to 40mph.
I do 60+ everyday, as do 70% of the road users in absoloute safety. There are never any accidents down there. ever.
