I've got a damaged alloy wheel in the back of the car. It's slightly bent, so would only be worth anything to weigh-in at the scrappers. Thing is though it's been powdercoated black.
I'm sure they'll be happy to take it off my hands, but, as it's powdercoated, will they give me any cash for it?

I took a set of alloys to the scrappers a few months back and they wouldn't take them.
They said it would cost more to dispose of the tires than the scrap metal in the wheels was worth

Doubt they will give you much for one alloy tbh mate.
Dad usually weighs a couple of tonnes in at the end of each year along with a tonne or so of cats and gets a good few £KKKK.

Long arm hedge cutters do the trick for tyres.. but you will need a bar to remove the wall.

if you are going anyway why not, I was going to say you might spend more money on fuel getting there.

You will get naff all for it mate. The way scrappys are atm because of the 'current climate' is stupid. I take old car parts down scrappys all time to fund our work doo's and get 50-80 pounds for a Combo full of alloys, disc's, ali blocks & head's etc
Just bin it

save it until the eastern world start building cars again and the metal prices go up, at its peak some scrappy's would give you £10 a wheel!!!
