Got back to my car, started from cold Roof down windows up from Windsor to Maidenhead (7miles roughly)

Anyway 25mpg exactly when i parked up, decided to take a photo but after the car was idling for 2mins the figure dropped a tad...

So this just goes to show, that its actully quite practical and useable everyday. Baring in mind it has 333bhp and a 3.2l engine

That was around town. No motorways at all. 2 A roads thats it.
Didnt drive like a granny, but wasnt going fast or using much throttle, just a cruise home as i was knackered and not in the mood to drive it like a twat.

Gets 30mpg+

Theres alot of bollocks talked about fuel consumption with cars people assume just eat fuel.

Just to rub it in, my dads 450bhp 3.6 twin turbo (4WD) 993 Turbo averaged 22 mpg over 60 miles (that was mostly dual carriageway driving, but about 15 miles of town).

It was relevant information wasn't it? I could have said once upon a time, a 911 did "x"mpg once, but then people might have wondered where i got that info from. I happened to be out in the car with him on sunday, and thats how i know what mpg it did.

I was just making the point that a 333bhp 3.2 litre engine managed 25mpg, where a 3.6 litre with two turbos and 117 bhp more did just 3mpg less.
I was trying to rub it in cos i thought your car should have done more, but after thinking about where the cars were driven (bmw - town and 'A' roads & 911 - dual carriageway) your car didn't do too bad actually.
And to be honest, thats one of the first times i've seen the 911 out of the mid-teens.

So yeah, i guess i was just adding to your point dammit.
