On an x16xe.
Ground the lip and made it alot more direct round and polished it up inside.
Shame it will only get all oiled up within a few minutes but oh well.
Anyone else done this?

Air flows better over the surface that's provided when the part is originally cast.

Perhaps the Airflow needs the turbulence provided by rough casting.

I had a guy fitting an enlarged throttle body on his Integra the other day...had to laugh as there was now a big step in diameter between the throttle and plenum which will result in a vena contracta meaning hes effectively just fitted a restrictor

Just get a fine wire brush and rough up the inside, as previously stated, a mirror finish isn't desired on the input side. a slightly roughened surface is best
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Some people are retarded, if fluid dynamics was that simple everyone could design an engine
