Hi Guys

Might be looking at one of these later, I know theres a few people that have owned/own these on here, anything to look out for??

One Im looking at has 50k on, just serviced and has 3 year TLC pack remaining.

Rattle from the timing chain is quite a common fault, so watch out for that. Also stiff clutches and power steering pumps that continue to run after you switch it off. Otherwise great cars!

power steering pumps packing up is common according to the thing I was watching on watchdog the other day. Nicely built though and nothing much else

I like them. really good fun to drive too

Very rattly inside, feel a bit on the cheap side.

An expensive car. For what you get, everything is at the top end of the price scale. And im not sure that for the extra money compaired to something else in the same sector, you get a better car!

Ie people on autotrader are still wanting nearly £6000 for 6 year old ones with 80k on the clock.

Seeing as they are in the same sort of market as a clio 182 for example, you could get one nearly half the age and milage for the same price!
