Just insured my kit car.

180bhp xe on weber carbs, 60 in 4 seconds, no roof, no no-claims, 1 fault accident, 1 SP30.

TPFT + parts (meaning if i crash they supply all the new parts to fix it and i do the work myself)

12 months for £112.69

Plus I do not have to declare any mods ever aslong as the engine cc stays the same.

Mazin

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I used Frank Pickles insurance brokers.

http://www.frankpickles.co.uk/

Not sure whether they do 'normal' road cars though.

May be worth a try.

You won't get an online quote either. It is just a form and they call you back.
