The S3.. That uses the Haldex Traction system.. whats the power split like on that ?
Would hope for something nice like 40%-60% front and rear but i dont know and cant seem to find info on it.

Other options are

Focus ST
Audi A5
Megane Coupe
Volvo C30 or something bigger in the Volvo range that still uses its 2.5l Turbo
Saab 9-3 Turbo X (if i can afford)
Jag X-Type or S-Type.. in black with the chrome "bling" mesh

VXR8 LS2 or LS3 are far too big engine.. i dont know if i can run a 6.0L

JR.. would have to be the Diesel.. maybe 2.7 or 3L
would have to see cos they are slightly over budget but are worth breaking the budget for

as for EVOs.. i would. but insurance and services/general running costs for a daily car are too much

Economy of the V8's isn't too bad, you can get 30mpg on a motorway run, and about 17mpg around town. It's pretty comparable to the economy of the V6 in the Omega if you behave. It's only when you put your foot down does it drink more than George Best did on his liver-killing spree...
