Decided to give my car a good clean today and use some of the stuff i got for xmas as i havent been bothered really before now. in december i bought myself a machine polisher from elite car care, this one if anyones interested:

also bought a few products too.

this is what i did:
snow foamed,
rinsed and washed with chemical guys maxi suds and a new wash mitt
clayed with dodo juice purposeful purple and dodo born slippy as lube,
then rinsed it again,
used the machine polisher with poorboys swirl remover,
polished with menzerna final finish polish,
applied poorboys paint sealant,
then two coats of dodo juice blue velvet,
then all the trim with poorboys new look trim detailer,
and megs whee; brightener on the wheels.

ive had the wheels on since january but never posted up pics of them, theyre going to be refurbed soonas two are looking pretty bad. theyre 17" TT Ronals bought second hand off bmautosport.co.uk. i originally wanted LM reps but i decided if i spent £800 then kerbed them id be gutted so got these for £200 with pirelli p600 tyres and had them delivered the next day.

also got my grill sprayed matt black, i had a badgeless grill but the notch in the bonnet looked crap and i didnt want to get it filled.

so heres the pics:

and a couple of my dads too:

needs a clean though!

opinions welcome

it is the pics for the shinieness (sp.) but theres still some small scartches in the paint when the sun shines on it.

when i put them on i was disappointed because in person it is shiny but your right it looks average there.

last time i cleaned it it was like this, and that was just polished

ill sort some better pics tomoro, ill have to borrow the gfs camera

Will look coolio when lowered. Didn't bother having too much of a look the other day as couldn't see bugger all anyway!!

My advice would be try using a different set of compounds and pads.

Try Megs 83 followed by 80 on Meguiars cutting pad for the 83 and polishing pad for the 80. VAG paint's rock hard so will require a fair amount of work to correct fully...

thanks for the advice ill try that next time, i remember you saying the paint was rock hard.

but it kept me occupied for the day
