I've been offered an Apexi Power FC and commander for a nice price, but not sure if it's gonna be any good for me.
Does anyone know if they are cross compatable with other cars?

The one I've been offered is a 4E14T04Z (Toyota MR2 turbo)
I understand that the map and wiring would be different for other cars, but can they be re-mapped and re-wired for say a Ford RS or something?

Cheers,
Stu

No, they're tailored to the car.

they can be cross wired etc but its a lot of hassle, and not really worth it in the long run.

As an example, you can't take the one from mine and slap it onto a Skyline, as the timing is different and some things just don't cross over, like mine having a twin spark sequence etc.

but.... for example you can make different skyline engined cars interchangeable by swapping out wires (differing fireing sequence etc)..

but simply to answer your question. No
