I guess its one of the main problems of launching off from corsasport... the community is 99% CS members, whom may as well just post something on CS rather than constantly moving from CS to WR back and forth.
I check it every few days / weeks - but there's rarely anything new and you know if you post something it'll take a while to get a reply, so you just post on cs.

Yeh another reason why it died out, was not enough events happened...
Like a few track days got posted, but they up in Scotland mostly. Not enough official WR events were being organised, so the people who had joined (not on cs) for track days, were disapointed... and left or built their own sites e.g. built4track.co.uk

B4T was about long before wasnt it
the problem is paul the staff on WR(ie me Ian and willay) busy enough with CS that it has taken a back seat

there is a solution .... an easy one..... Use those CAR things to drive to the trackdays
I have reservations about the type of events that WR has been attending too... not real trackdays, but 'action days'. Never done one, but have a opinion of them Maybe unjust but prefer trackdays without stands and show elements.
If I had nothing else on I'd prob attend for the banter though.

adam
the idea is to do "proper" trackdays like we have done before
the issues is taking people from a non trackday enviroment, and geting them to go on them
no only does the action day do that, but it is run exactley like a sessioned trackday, all the cars are noise tested, session numbers are all pre booked etc, briefings etc are done
infact apart from the MSV briefings beeing slightly (only slighty) more involved there really isnt alot of diffrence

I must admit, a Castle Combe action day, isn't at all like 'Track time at Trax' or any of that bollocks.
Castle Combe Action days revolve around the track action, the majority of people going will be going on track, and then watching track action.
Things like Trax / Donny shows etc with track action, are about the 'shows' with track sessions on the side for anyone who wants it... hence you usually get people taking non track worthy cars like big bodykitted monstrosities out on track... or clowns who don't respect any rules at all.
Point is, Castle Combe track action days are v. Track Car orientated, so ideal for the people who want to get into doing more track days, or just can't afford to spend £100-£200 on full days.

Yeah as far as 'show / stand' that AK was talking about, there simply isn't any
The 'stands' are merely where people park up before heading out on track, although the more fancier / rarer cars get prime locations so people can have a look at some classics (that are also being tracked).
The only problem with combe are the sessions are a tad short, so just when you feel like you're 'flying' they end. Plus when I was there last year, I ended up on a session with people who simply did not want to pull in and let me pass and since passing into bends was not allowed, it was highly frustrating.

It's a site/club that was created by Ianfor Any make/model of car/bike.
www.weekendracer.co.uk
At castle combe it probabaly had the best set-up out of all of the clubs, but the location we were given wasn't a very prime one, so unless people ventured quite far out they wouldnt have seen the stand.

I just think before you 're launch' yourself, you have a plan - otherwise it's probably not worth it.
I think one of the big problems last year, were people came on after combe and there was nothing planned for a future event.

Alton Towers is about an hour or so further down the M6 from Oulton.
