I picked up a stand to work on my XE last week and I'm trying to work out the best way to mount it.

With the clutch and flywheel on it, the arms would hit the clutch. At the moment it has the head off.

Is this safe?

That looks like only two bolts holding the engine on. And if I was to do it without the head on, and using the 4 arms, would I be best taking the clutch off, or using spacers to space it away?

get the 2 upper arms in the ones where you have the lower arms and put the lower arms in the 2 gearbox mounting holes at the bottom of the block either side of the fly.

just use gear box holes and use aload of washers/spacer so it clears the clutch and fly

will be fine,
