got a letter off the police in scotland about a fine from my old car which i had sent the log book of to say i no longer owned. will i have to pay this, i'm ringing the dvla and police tomorrow to ask about it, its only 30quid but still i shouldnt have to.

Fine for what, speeding ones have a section you fill in the new owners details then just send it back.

nar i think it said something about waiting where it shouldnt have been but t wasnt speeding, there is something on the back of the letter aswell.

Fill in the bit on the back of the letter then.
