So, as most of you read, my e28 is gone. Since no one (sans a couple) here is on bimmerforums, I have some news to share.
Right before the car was wrecked, I finalized a feature in PBMW magazine, and the article will run in the April issue.
I wanted to follow my e28 up with something better in every way... something that wasn't a POS, something where everything worked how it should... something in really nice shape... so I picked up an e24.

1988 635CSi Highline, aka L6. I have coilovers sitting in the garage, they're going on most likely on thursday night.
I have all the parts for a 5-speed swap, I'll be doing that at some point as well.
The car is as clean as it gets without spending a fortune. I can count the issues on a single hand... some minor paint flaws, like rock chips... the rear speaker covers need replacing... I need a cover for the seat mechanics on the passenger side... and the fog lights, which I've already ordered... that's about it.
I have big plans for it. I've personally never seen an e24 stanced properly, nor have I seen one really "done up", so I'm hoping to put the e24 on the map.

In the way that clothes make the man, wheels really do make the car.
