Am i right in thinking an afterburner is just adding fuel after the turbo? (i.e the section that glows red)

^^^ yes same with real jets, just has an injector at the end to make lots of flames which makes lots of thrust.

but its not very efficient right? thats why they dont use afterburners constantly?

indeed it uses a hell of a lot of fuel on fighers its more than a gallon a second.

f16s use more than 2 gallons per second when using it.

the air goes in then fuel is added and spark plugs ignited the air/fuel mixture which goes back into the turbo and spins it sucking in more air, process is repeated.

indeed dallas. its funny as hell to listen to then look at a mini moto. the man is mental. it beats the turbo lawnmower running a rover tb, fuel injector, dta ecu and launch control. which was also extremely cool
