Well i had the free MOT today

Repairs equate to £1,000.

That is all

You seem far too happy to be forking out a grand for an MOT...

What were the major things and what kind of Audi?

Probably to be expected. I did hear about it on the radio, my MOT still has another 6 months though. Personally I avoid the local audi dealer and use a specialist instead.

Do you have to get them to do the work?

Whole new exhaust, front suspension arms and rear bushes or something like that.

Bog standard A3 tdi

No i dont have to get the work done by them fortunately

Hence why the MOT was free, TBH same as these £25 places, they make the money in labour repairing them!

i really dispise some people and there opinions on this

its done for customer retention

techs have a duty to report everything on the car, weathers its MOT or a safety item or something that needs further attention

its not done to rip people off

the report sheet will be the same if the customer applied for a free MOT or payed £51

Yes i used to work for volvo i know how it all works, what im saying is, with them giving out free MOT's, more people will take their custom there, therefor giving them a greater chance of getting the repair job, in return making more money for themselves
