basicly been accused of crashing into this womans parked car at college when i havent at all. i did skid on ice and kurb my wheel, marking the wheel and curb but can garantuee i didnt hit a car as my mate got out to check the wheel and would have noticed a damaged car, plus theres nothing on my car. this skid was witnessed by two people who have quoted my reg which is how iv been identified in the car park. there was me and 3 other in my car who could also act as witnesses for me. theres no cameras and she was parked half on a curb on a bend OUTSIDE the actual carpark.

hopefully you lot can put my mind at rest and let me know whats possibly going to happen!

Well, without definate evidence it was you probably not a lot.

Worst case scenario is you get done for hitting her, your insurance pays out but you get a criminal record for leaving the scene.

Are the two people who witnessed the skid saying you hit the car?

You won't be able to use the 3 people that were in your car as witnesses though I wouldnt have thought as you know them

Find evidence to say you didnt. Tomorrow in the daylight get outside and photograph every panel as close as you can.

Speak to the woman and explain your story

Seak to insurance company, tell them the problem, hopefully when you took the policy out you clicked the legal fees box and they can put you through to someone who will be able to help if it gets taken further.

Sure is confusing mate.

As DaveyLC says, if you didn't do it and there's no evidence to suggest you did then I wouldn't worry.

Just think about it if it was the other way round - how can this woman prove anything?

They can't do anything to you unless there is evidence against you (which if you didnt do it there will not be). Just one persons word against another.

tpi will have to prove you did it. get them to send an inspector out to your car who will then write a report to say whether there is any recent damage to your car or not, but also if there are any recent repairs.
your friends witness statements wont be taken into acount as theyre none independant but anyone who is independant saying they saw you is pretty bad. but again demand your vehicle be inspected and make it very clear to your insurer that you're prepared to stand in court, they do have subregation rights(which means they dont have to do what you say) but if you stand your ground they wont pay out.
i work in insurance btw

Also if it goes to court and these people aren't 100% sure you hit the car they could get torn apart in court and be in a lot more shit than they think

You need to speak to your insurance, and maybe even speak to the police about the incident yourself, but i'd move fast and get your story down, also as someone else said, get pictures of all your car and also if you can, pictures of hers, is the damage on hers quite bad?
