mate is with me at the mo, want to get coilovers on a budget, seen vmaxx ones on ebay, do they do the job? anyone know anythin about these, how low they will go etc...

yeah i know that, im not saying whats BETTER to go for i just wana know if it goes low for the money? He wants low coilovers but only wants to spend that sort of dollar.

Do NOT get cheap coilovers.
Mine are utter pish, far too hard, handling is terrible.
Going back to shocks and springs.

I agree, but hes ded set on coilovers, an wants these, hes got a spring and shock setup at the moment, so just wantedto know really if when they state 30-60mm is that really the max they will lower to or generally is there more thread to go? Ive told him to invest in a good rsx kit or gaz for around the 400 mark but thats all he wants to spend.

I won a set of spax coilovers for £280 brand new of ebay  still second hand obviously, I think they go for £500. Its better to look for better quality stuff TBH there is always people selling slightly used or not used stuff for cheap.

i bought a set of these last year and have now gone back standard shocks springs just couldnt seem to set them up right. i wouldnt recommend them. mine was down bout 60mm with them on but they would still go alot lower.

I have the Hot tuning ones on the cupra and bassically there re-branded Fk coilovers...FACT!!!
There abit harsh but can go uber low

my spax rsx have about 30mm on teh threads to go lower, yet im pretty much on the bump stops? so why is there more threads?
