Went to a have a look at a BMW M5 and M6 last week.
The M6 as lovely as it is, isn't my kind of car. I'm only small and my head touches the roof lining when sat at the back, so that car was dismissed.
The M5, was nice (car below). Looked lovely and had a mean stance to it. Also had a decent boot space, which I need. So, I arranged a test drive this afternoon.

Anyway, verdict:
BMW's notoriously horrible to use iDrive, is... Shit
Cabin felt a bit too plastic compared with the higher market cars associated with this marque.
And... this may be a bit of a surprise... the 5.0l V10 felt boring I hammered it up and down a dual carriageway, but it just didn't seem like it was my kind of car. Yes, the engine and exhaust sounds gorgeous, but it felt too smooth. No torque? The speedo kept on climbing... and that was it.
I didn't like the gears too. Gear changing felt clumsy and the auto mode felt like it couldn't decide which gear to be in.
Finally, the HUD was distracting and looked too cartoon like.

So... Utterly disappointed

C63 AMG to test next week though. Hopefully it'll give me the thrills i'm looking for

edit: e60, not e90!!!!!!!

Strange I always thought they were meant to be a hell of a car!

Audi RS4 or RS6...?

I've always thought that they're meant to be great cars too.
Perhaps it just didn't feel like it was for me. You know, when you drive a car, you can feel something special. This didn't do it for me.

Martin, can't do doughnuts on a dual carriageway. Did have a semi race against a police training car though. He fucking hammered it too

RS4, perhaps. Sat in one at their showroom. It wasn't bad
RS6, feels too big. Sat in one at Hadwins (is it still called that?)

Surely an RS6 Saloon is no bigger than an M5?

Admitidly they are pretty big though.

A friend did on the M8 once in his 300zx, I don't think it was intentional

Do you remember my little cousin, Tina? When we had a little photoshoot with Icy-man. Well, anyway, she did the same on the M8. Took out 20 yards of barrier and wrote off her car. She's just a shit driver

No no no... Little Chinese girl with glasses at the time. Not surprised if you don't remember. It was a few years back.

Dad had a courtesy car 530i M Sport and we thought the iDrive was piss easy to use. He can't use a calculator, but could the iDrive

I can't believe a V10 seemed boring did you have it in warp factor mode, so it actually had over 500bhp?!

It's an E60 not E90. The E90 is the new 3 series.

I had a little play with this beasty. I had him untill the lights turned to green

Like the plate? It's back to standard now as i'm guessing he kept on getting pulled for it.

May be it was an M3 with V8, hence why the V10 seemed boring

It was the M5. That exact car in the picture above.

It wasn't slow... and i didn't get to throw it into corners, but i'm just saying, hammering it down the dual carriageway just seem... bleh. My brother sat in the back thought i was taking the piss too. He said it was quick. I just didn't feel the excitment.

I think it's down to the size of it. In my little Corsa i'll be doing 40 and my mate will think i'm booting it. However, in his CL500 we can be doing 120 and it feels slow.
