Is there actually any corrolation between trim level and rot? I.e. were some models made in different parts of the world.. My Merit only had a tiny bit on the chassis leg (common place) other than that its rust/rot free.. But ive seen some younger models with serious amounts of rot!
I know on some of the old fords where different trim levels were made in different factories some would rot and some wouldnt..

I werent big on passionford, I used to browse and read up loads, name was popular (suprised that name was still available ) Got a honda civic SiR II now, as well as a 5 door civic for my run around until I get the sir on road. Still got a soft spot for the scorts tho, I only had a 1300 pushrod but loved it, was the racing non sunroof one as well

They are unsealed with Shit loads of stone chip and no doubt a zinc treatment. Problem is stones eventually work their way through it and then rust sets in..
