yup and close together, all round its a good car but you get the feeling its going to break all the time and if you lower it you unlock all kinds of rattles and squeeks.

106 Gti wins hands down over a 1.6 sport.
Faster, handle alot better and a hoot to drive.
Only downside is the build quality of the 106.

I think they are little peices of shit and you look like a chav driving it. The clutches are terrible, and the pedals are about 3 mm apart.
But besides this, they are a brilliant little performance car!

I did. I kept pressing the side wall and first because the accelerator is about 10 mm sqaure.
But after a while of coming to a junction and looking where they were, it was ok

Im used to the pedals on my vts now coming from a corsa but I hate the gearbox, clutch, brakes, lively back end, and general french build quality.
Going back to a corsa soon

I still don't really get why this question is asked so often on this site?
If you don't own either of them, why isn't this post made on say 106owners.co.uk or something?
Instead several times a day these posts appear. Perhaps Ian should make a sticky post at the top.

yeh but it pisses off the corsa owners who use the site for corsa related talk.
You're essentially rubbing a better car in their face all the time (can of worms open).

all them pedals are utter crap to close, and off to one side not nice almost crahed quite a few because ive been hitting the throttle and break at the same time.
tuning wise they are going to give you a lot, decent exhaust system inc manifold, and induction kit could see you 20bhp quite easely depending on spec and design.
personaly i hate them, they are to small, crash one at 30mph and get cut out of it, and the build quality is utter shit. other than that they handle well and are rapid
