Drag has the biggest affect on top speed, for example you'ed need like 600bhp in a corsa and the right gearing to see 200mph..

I guess thats why he's talking about a theoretical top speed.

Its just what speed i could theoretically hit in 5th gear with a long ratio f15 box, standard limit (7250rpm if memory serves me correct) and my 17's with 205/40 tyres

Find out the ratios of the long ratio F15 box, and use that link i gave you then.
I reckon sean-b is on the money though. 130 (according to clocks) probably closer to 120 real speed.

Standard rev limit is 6750rpm Jenko.
And on 195/45/15's, with an F15CR, top speed is 136 mph on the clocks, 128 on the GPS.

Are you saying you found the limiter in 5th, with a wide ratio box, on a standard inlet?
Or have I misunderstood, and you found the limiter at one point, and also found a nice bit of road at another point?

im sure the 'THEORETICAL' top speed of a vtr, on a vtr box with the standard limiter is 180+
but you are comfortably in 3rd at 110 so i can believe that

C20 LET with F20 on the limiter is around 155mph
Think a 1.6 with F15 on the limiter is around 130mph
This is with the wind behind you tho and going down a slight hill

5.5k with powerbox inlet, and 195/50/15
saw me to 125mph still had more to go but eml came on so wasnt going to risk it, feels like it needs a better exhaust manifold and i can see it clocking itself at 130mph
