Either way, people are going to have their suspicions and from Luke's posts it seems probable that you were signing in and out of accounts only because the timing of it correlates.

Best thing you can do is stop posting and only correspond with Ian the police and all the people you MAY owe money to.

You're better off not posting anything on the situation untill it is cleared up. No stories, correspondence with Ian, nothing.

It will only get people jumping on the wagon and we'll end up with a thread with 12 pages of speculation. Even if the speculation is correct.

With most forum software you can tell the IP address of the person that's submitted a post, so Ian may be able to confirm whether the posts from these two user names are from the same IP or not.
