wouldnt it have been better to leave this as it was so that the people that are having trouble getting money back from users on here could have searched to see if anyone else had problems in the past with the person?

yeah now there is after its all happened
but by taking it away it limited the options you had in the first place

It was removed because of abuse and performance issues therein.
It will return when we are happy that the same abuse will not exhibit the same issues.
I would be happier without the problem of people cocking about with it as well and I would be disappointed to learn that the lack of a search meant that someone had partaken in a bad trade because of lack of research.
If you need help trading see either the topped threads in Classifieds or the disputes forum which contains all the information about who to avoid which you will ever need.
Do also bear in mind that some of the reason things don't get done is we're busy trying to make trading less risky.
Sorry if this is a moan. Were it not for bad people and faffing I would have been in bed hours ago after doing some fun stuff like programming. Not chasing after criminals while the good users go ignored.
