thses cars are really bad lol, mine earnt me a instant ban saturday but at the end of the day i shouldnt have been driving like a twat but you dont have a 2.0 put in a small car for no reason, i got clocked slowing down at 95mph on the worcester duel track by undercover in a mondeo, being caught at that speed along with 9points did not impress the old bill.being banned will save me from throwing money at it every month, i think i shall be off the road for about 12months now but thining of taken the valver out and replacing with a turb's and getting it looking tiptop for when i pass once again.

So you put a 2 litre in your car to drive like a twat which gets you banned so now you're looking to but something even moree powerful in there for when your ban's over.Makes perfect sense mate

Do you think you will get a reasonable insurance quote on it with a turbo in after your ban is up?

I didn't mean my "good for you" comment like that
It was meant to be more humerously patronising than looking down on you.
I've got 6 points just now. Had 9 until the 15 of jan. I'm hardly and angel, so i'm not gonna pass judgement on someone else who can't help collecting points
Mike B has a point though. Aside from making the car faster, won't insurance be a killer considdering you'll just be getting back on the road after a ban?

Where did that one come from?
You basically said in your first post that it's because you have an XE that you've ended up being banned so you're gonna put a more powerful engine in for when you get your license back.
To me there is no logic in that at all
I sound innocent? That's gotta be a winner, better than sounding guilty eh?
And yeah, I do know right from wrong, as do you because you've said you was in the wrong. I've not said anything about you being in the wrong, I've not said that you shouldn't have done what you did.
I know there's not a single person on the road that has never crept over the speed limit on at least one occasion. We all do stuff we shouldn't, that's life.
So if you wanna just re-read my last post and actually realise that I've said nothing about you being in the wrong other than what you had already posted yourself
And corsaloon, have I at any point denied doing 100mph? If you're struggling the answer is no. I've actually managed to do 102 Don't you just love 1.2s.
You both seem to have missed the point of my original post so I hope that this one has set you both straight
Summary: The only problem I had was understanding GteRedtop's logic, I said nothing about his driving other than what he had already posted

Sorry Mr Mike B, its all understood now! becasue i have been driving over 3yrs and now i have got myself a ban does that mean once im up on my ban do i have to re-take my test or not? iv heard roomers that you havnt but im not sure, the reason i mentioned about replacing my valver with a let is becasue when my ban is up all my points will be cleared or is this rubbish too?

you dont have to re take your trst, you will have to inform your insurance that you have been banned for a year for speeding though

if you've been driving over 3 years then it is highly unlikely you'll have to retake your test. you will however get a ban, more points and a big fine. also is your insurance completely accurate ie mods etc?
if not theres another potential 6 points. you dont say what your other 9 were for or how old you are but if your under say 25 and most of them have been for speeding then expect to be able to insure noting more than a 1l 12v when they let you back on the road!!! .

No worries mate, as far as I know you won't need to take your test again but where insurance is concerned, I think instead of having to declare what I'm guessing is probably 4 convictions, 3 points each, you'll have to declare a ban through totting up which I can't see any insurance company taking lightly.
Don't take that as 100% accurate, it's just what I believe to be true, someone else my be able to set you straight

No-one on this site ever speeds
They don't do it because they couldn;t take the moral high ground when someone else admits it.
A corsa xe is only built for one reason, you've removed a slower engine with a fast one, for what reason? to drive slow?

We all speed now and again, it's nothing to be proud of.
If you hit a kid and killed them you wouldnt be on here boasting and bragging.
There's a time and a place, and "speeding" whilst is illegal, under certain circumstances isn't life threatening, but it sounds like you were.
