Can you lose torque through the lightened fly wheel?

and does it not affect the tickover too?

ive heard you have to get the crank balanced once fitted, so it matches the lightend flywheel..

always bugged me whether its true or not?

Just had 1 fitted.

Does go through 1st / 2nd alot quicker.

But seen as though I have a closer ratio gearbox i'm only doing about 50mph by end of 2nd

But its worth it i.m.o.

How much are these worth to sell?

it will affect tickover if its too light, which is unlikey with of the shelf parts

yeah you could argue the less rotating mass means the rpm drops quicker and torque is affected

the principle of my understanding of it is a flywheel is always rotating, the heavier it is, the more usable energy it can store as there is more rotating mass, and therefore potential energy to be transferred into drive when the clutch is engaged

if its lighter, that is obviously less

this is what i always thought.

Mess mass = less momentum = less torque
