Got pulled for my exhaust being too loud but managed to billy bullshit my way out of it. I got a powerflow straight through de-cat with a tiny backbox and its the loudest thing ever.
I want to keep the cat out as i payed 100 extra for a de-cat system so be pretty pointless to put it back in.
CheeryBomb Silencer
Would this quiten down my exhaust do you think? Also im not sure what diameter & case diameter i should get, as i dont know whats on my car atm. Its only a x14xe and i imagine it will be standard size thickness pipe??

If your exhaust is loud enough for the police to pull you do you not feel like a tit everytime you drive the car?

No offence, but why do it?
Why do people put the loudest exhaust they can on a car?
I mean, yeah, something with the performance to match the noise i can accept. But in your example, you drive a 1.4, correct?
I guess its preference, but why do it

the only way you will get it quiet is to pt a silancer in or get a backbox with baffles lol

John: yeah i do feel like a prat and thats why i want to get it sorted ASAP.
Haimsey: i didnt ask powerflow to make it that loud, its rediculous and so raspy, i took it back twice and they tried charging me an extra 85 pounds for a silencer ontop of the 360 i already paid, which is insane.

My clio came with a stupid exhaust and I was genuinely embarrassed everytime I drove it, no idea why people do it, especially in 1.0 12volts.

Not sure but I doubt it, cherrybombs haven't really got a good reputation.

TBH it will quite it down, thats what it is..a silencer if it didn't do anything they would sell you a cheerybomb red piece of pipe, it will silence it because it has the packing in it to absorb the sound, doesn't matter if its a straight through design or not.

Mines loud ( you can here me from bottom of my street), but not loud enough to get pulled by the police. But a cherrybomb is allegderly(sp?) to make it louder not silence it. So it won't work.

Probably time to look at a new backbox with baffles or have a midbox welded in.
