How risky is it? Basically there is a company that are advertising the car and want full payment before its imported. Take 6-8 weeks to get in the UK where it will be valeted, machine polished, any scratches touched up, MOT, tax and UK plates ready to pick up and drive. Just seems very risky.

My cousin has just imported a car from japan. It took 7 weeks. He has to get the M.O.T done himself & also get the car registered for the U.K plates. He went to a guy that he knows very well. Paid most of the money upfront & then he was left to pay the import tax at the end. Hope that helps you.

Surely as long as you have a receipt stating what you have paid for and a time period for delivery of goods/services, then if anything happens its just a case of using that?

Well they have just said a price that includes all fees ect so the exchange rate wont effect me as im paying them to import it. Its a toyota starlet glanza and its about £500 cheaper. Might just wait tho.
