Thinking of a new £1000 project car, been looking at stuff like MK3 Golfs but kinda liking these, just want a bit more of a grown up change from the Corsa for a few months. Deck it, wheels, done really

Aren't arsed about speed massively, but are they economical? Reliable? Cheap enough to run? And how resilient to rust are they?

Cheers folks

Sweet Just fancy a change on the cheap for a bit longer till I can save up a bit more cash for a 172 or similar, so sell my car and buy another and spend a bit on it for a bit, keep me occupied as I've had my Corsa for 2 yrs

This was my inspiration lol

Got any pics of your compact Scott?

I know someone who's probably still selling theirs, it's a 318 Compact in black but apparently it's a bit rotten underneath

I don't want a rot box thats for sure lol... but interested to find out what goes wrong on them, if parts are cheap etc... but be nice to pimp about in one for bit lol they can certainly look the part, would prefer a hatch for practicality and ICE install

Ta for the reply.

Coupe's have nicer dashes, bigger engine choices etc... but I wanna keep the length kinda small due to parking limits (terraced housed street) and people who park on yer bumper lol. Also hatchback should be a bit better for some big bass

Not sure what do really lol, will do a bit more digging on 'em

Jules' mate had a blue one with a blue interior. Lovely looking car, but as said they're an E30 in drag really.
