You'll need the key code and security no to get it programmed once you get the key

Not necessarily. Is it a Corsa?
Ford keys require programming by machine. iirc, most Corsa keys are split open, with a 'loose' chip. This means you just transfer from key to key, without the need of programming.
Somewhere like Timpsons would actually be able to advise.
Someone on here will probably know too.

If its lost the chip it'll still need programming if he puts a new chip in it.
