Hey there

Im looking at fitting a K&N air filter to my corsa soon.
Just wondering though but will it reduce full consumption cos of more air going through than with just a standard air filter?

It would increase fuel consumption if it was getting more air.

It won't make any difference though.

Drill and derestrict the airbox and get a K&N panel filter. No flat spots and sounds almost as good.

On 1.0 and 1.2s they give the engine too much air.

How is it possible for a filter to give the engine too much air?

Two of my mates have had 1.0L 12vs, they both had cone filters on, then they got flat spots, changed to a drilled airbox and the flatspots went... I'd of thought there was too much air being taken in...

Well it certainly doens't feel like it has all the flatspots i've had from other filters?

But then again the engine never gets hot enough to soak much heat in
