Anyone got car stuff there? I heard they sell oil, what else do they sell car wise? is it a lot cheaper than other places?

They sell quite a bit of car stuff, oil is quite reasonably priced iirc.

It's not always cheaper for everything but there is always something you want to buy in the shop, good for a wee walk around.

They do michelins.

Costco isn't just your regular cash and carry, it's better for some reason, makro for instance is crap.

Yip, £30 for a standard card, I think they say you have to have certain jobs to get one but thats never a problem in the one I go to.

You get you and a spouse (anybody in my one, i've got one with my mate) so it's £15 each.

yes you do, about £25 for private people. its noy cheap for car stuff, get a halford trade card and thats cheap on stuiff like oil etc.

depends on stuff but few examples:

2 light bulbs for my motor bike:

Original - £2.99
Trade - 64p

5 litres of oil Halfords own:

Original - £22.99
Trade - £7.50 ish


Oil filter:

Orginal - £7.99
Trade - £2.60


but all varies from car to car and products but soem alot cheaper.

the "rules" say you have to provide proof of being a mechanic or parts trader, so it's just luck if they don't ask?

i never got asked, but i got it through a friend. mines technically registered to the IT support company i work for. i wasn't asked for any proof. if you don't know anyone that works there then you may get asked etc. could always try and wangle one anyway?

i get stuff from there for my shop its good but its open to the public as well as traders. they do all sorts ill try and get some prices if i go during the week
