Clio 182 Trophy - £803
Civic Type R - £1480

Any idea why it's so much more??

What are the main difference's that could effect the insurance?

I find that whenever i try to insure something Jap. The difference between a 1.6 sport and 1.6 Vtec is horrendous.

Repair costs, parts costs for example, if they're more, it'll cost more to repair in a prang, so the insurance is more.

More CTRs get crashed maybe? or stolen, or both, if that's the case, that'll bump the premiums up too.

I got 2 quotes today (seperate cars)

1996 1.4 corsa......£600 fully comp 10k miles per year which I paid last year....but wait for it............

1948 Alvis......£198 fully comp 4500k miles per year free road tax too

the Alvis will (when restored) be worth a lot lot more than my corsa
