Had a busy afternoon with friends and butched the nugget out of the mrs's 106 GTI




Which i wrote off

So im thinking of making something new out the old and stick it all into a s1 xsi shell with van panels

opinions?

That's quite similar to my XSi 16v Except that's a van, and I have morette's and a butchered bumper I'd say go for it, easily as quick as an XE in a straight line but will leave it standing when it comes to the tight bends!

I'm talking from experience Having owned an XE as well, this is every bit as quick, and fuck me it's fun! Honestly mate, you'll love it. If you're doing it though don't bother with the GTi gearbox, better off with the XSi one

Well reading on 106oc and RallyeRegister it gets up to speed quicker with the shorter ratios aye! And I can vouch for the fact it'll get into triple figures, in third, in a ridiculous time

was a nice car, as you can imagine the mrs wasn't best impressed at me modifying the front end into the rear of a 207 GTI

I was having abit of a play with the 207 and someone pulled out in front of him. he slammed on, out braked me, i swerved and caught his os rear. Mrs was in with me but she never used to mind me racing in her car as she drove it hard anyway. Its ended up costing me a fortune to sort transport out for her after that though.


Insured her on the 306 GTI then the cam belt snapped on that so brought her a vectra clutch went on that, so didnt have much luck but i couldnt not leave her without a car for feeling guilty
