snapped standard shafts

engine mounts?

do you all run standard shafts and engine mounts

and what power/torque you putting out

im guessin u mean small block conversion's aka 1.8's, etc...my old corsa 1.7 D (isuzi lump) had them all broken i think...the thing still lives vibrates like crazy

You won't do it without a lot of torque, and the gearbox would be more of an issue IMO.

With your 1.8, if you're still staying N/A, I'd be amazed if you make the torque to do any damage to either.

Dbilas turbod 1.8 Cs use an F15 remember, and they make more than 150lb/ft of torque, never heard of issues with shafts or gearboxes there.

Not forgetting that some people use the small shafts on XEs and even LETs (I'm sure Phil Sutton was/is)

Engine mounts you want to uprate to prevent the movement, regardless of power and torque.

my none tuned Gsi snapped an engine bolt!, vauxhall said it was 1 in a million!

yep, Phil was running 400+ bhp though gsi shaft's

well standard shafts are good then

back engine mount okay?

corsa c's run a F17, and i think ross's 1.8 turbo was 230lbft?

mine will be about 145-150lbft

but nitrous might be on the cards.....

I knackered a gearbox (f15) with a 12v.

Yep i was using welded 1.4 sport shafts on my XE and it was fine.Mate who done the conversion runs the same shafts on his LET corsa.

I run standard nova 1.2 shafts (pencil thick) with 193bhp, 130lbft, R888's and a diff. Haven't had any probs yet...

im running stiffend vulcanised engine mounts

but thats to stop engine movement with the carbs an stuff
