I managed this in a brand spankers 2.0 GT Golf that I had for a couple of weeks...I had no sympathy for the thing even thought it arrived with delivery miles

are you still on a standard ECU gavin? as if its cold it won't move onto the bigger cam anyway, so therefore making naff all power like lee's first run on the rolling road

Might have a hondata kpro soon if the seller gets back to me but yer I am on standard ECU
didnt realise it had that feature as I have never tried a death run from cold I knew you could only rev it to 5k unless its in gear. Its like launch control

Mainly below 2k drivng to and from work. But when I'm out it gets a thrashng when required. Or when ever some 1.2 - 1.8 fancies a go!

i never do.i drive mainly around the 3k mark but never over 4k.

Astra gets it pretty easy, unless i fancy a bit of a slide around on some roundabouts when i finish work in the morning

i drive 1.0 corsa.. it doesnt move if you dont boot it....

used to give it some when i got it.. till about xmas...

since then seen about 10mpg increase from driving calmer on same roads...

im driving golf mk3 gti 8v atm and dont think i drive like a nutter

The Gsi got drove hard everyday al the time

My ZLET only on the odd occasions and on motorway slip roads. The last time i drove it hard i showed up a CTR on a private road near mine.

Me and mattk are derv drivers Dunno about matt, but my redline is 5k, and power graphs show peak power around 3200-3500RPM and then it dies fast
