Left for work and it was freezing as usual, then 25 minutes down the road and Temperature Warning Light came on, as I came to a stop steam started pouring out the bonnet, oh dear! Let it calm down then slightly undid the header tank cap and of course it went crazy, so much steam it probably looked like the car was on fire
Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough with the camera so it's only a bit of steam:

Anyway, got my old man to bring some water out as I'd lost most of mine, filled it back up and all was ok, got it home and again it boiled over. Anyway long story short, turns out my Rad had frozen
Not sure how seeing as anti freeze was in it, but I drained it at 1am and refilled with water and lots of anti freeze, and it's been fine since, was expecting to be taking the Rad out today and melting it down, so yeah, that was my strange experience last night!
Make sure your fluids are topped up correctly people.

Thing with these Fiesta's, is the Temp Gauge is digital, which is shit as they don't display anything above normal, the only indication you have of it getting hot is when this Temperate Warning Light comes in, which is basically "Turn your engine off immediately you're engine is about to fry"
I don't know what I put in, I just put lots in then filled the rest with water, but it's definetly got more in than last time as it's a strong colour.

Hadn't snapped in the end, just did this:

But the damage was just as bad, so yaeh, I've not had much luck with any cars.

Water is meant to be in the rad....?
My screen washer fluid keeps freezing too, nothing you can do about that as far as I know.

Before Bluewater
After bluewater
And the WORST part of the A2 to break down in that last one. I had the SV run out of juice once at the top of that where the lane splits from 3-2.
I had to push it down the slope, through the tunnel, off the junction, turn left, down the road to T junction, chuck a right, go along to next roudnabout, of which i filled up.
The WORST place to break down there
Wanna get yourself a nice reliable bike mate Chop this car crap stuff in Luckily the bandits oil cooled, or i'd be worried (hard to warm up in the mornings though )

Get a little 125cc moped, someone at work just bought one, they do a fiver of fuel compared to my tenner (pretty much same distance), running costs are all lower etc, I'm just not man enough to ride one in all weathers anymore

No, please don't.... Been there.
125's are good little 5-10 mile bikes. But our distance is too much every day. Sat at 60-70mph for 20+ minutes (i.e top revs) doesn't bear well.
Even the 200cc scoot had problems and that done nearly 90...

my vectra did similar a while back. temp gauge went past 100, car boiled over. put water and anti freeze back in same day and its never done it again since. can only think the radiator froze up as the pipes to it were both red hot.
