Just had my renewal through from Quinn. What are you thoughts on it? Fair price?

Vauxhall Corsa 1.0 Merit 3dr
Postcode class C
All modifications declared
18, 1ncb £1246 tpft

Been ringing round a few other companies like brentacre who quoted me £3,400, adrian flux wouldnt cover it and Elephant want £2000, Done a quick online quote on vtr and it was less than that!

Thought I might start getting some half decent quotes now i've got 1ncb but nooo

At 18 i had a mk3 Astra gsi and it was less than £1k without any NCB.

That price for a 1.0 is awfy high.

I wouldn't pay attention to the post code areas.

Stick your parents on as named drivers.

Have you tried a new quote on the site, normally cheaper than the renewal offer.

Yeh postcode areas don't seem to mean what they're supposed to for me. I'm supposedly A, but then so's my mate and yet if I insure my car at his address all other details the same, it reduces the premium by £200!

Adding parents as named drivers can help. Other than that, mine didn't go down much till 2 yrs NCB

Seems alot, I'm in a high risk area, and at 18 I was FC, all mods declared on a 1.4 SRi for £800...

But everyone is different, I'm sure you can get it down though.

Might be worth a try

It's a lot, but it's also modified. Not only do they factor the cost to replace the mods (if FC) but the fact that you're into modding cars which indicates boy racer.

That does seem really quite high though for TPFT. I payed £850 being 19 with 0NCB and 1 crash at fault.

i have no idea why but that is cheaper at 17 and 18.. surely its more risk to the company as they would have to pay out if you crash ?!?!?!
