I am 21 in june and want to do my HGV licence.. does anybody know how much the are roughly to do from start to finnish?

is that with a garantee pass or retest if you fail or something isit?

yeah mate.. you can do some kind of young persons lgv licence if yous 18-20 but as im nearly 21 i mite aswel wait

is there a minimum period you must have held your driving license for? and if so do you meet it?

not sure mate.. all iv read on the net is that u must be over 21 and have a normal car licence

I've been told that for insurance reasons, no-one under 25 can actually drive HGV's Could be aload of bs, but i'm not 100% clued up on it...

i get mine paid for in the army soo it dont bother me just dint know there was like a slight age limit

You have to do your class 2 before you do your class 1, my mate got them both for just over a grand.

I did my class 2 when i was 21, cost me just over 1000 for theory, 4 day course and test on the 4th day, passed first time but a retest is somewhere in the region of 80quid.
I was driving a 18tonne gas wagon when i first passed, when i was 24 i changed jobs to work in a quarry for tarmac and was given an 04 plate Volvo Globetrotter, then March 2008 this baby arrived for me.......

I love 8 wheelers

Just join the TA as a driver and you get it all paid for you, then leave and you have all your licenses including PCV

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
