Ok, just browsing for a new car..like you do.. and I've taken a liking to clio's after so many of you lot on here having really nice examples, just how good are 172's straight out of the box so to speak? obviously set up correctly for the power suspension wise etc, unlike an xe corsa/nova I mean. I found this one below, at a good price I think..also, It's going to be another month or so before I buy a new car so hopefully they have come down a tad more, byt for that price it would be rude not to wouldnt it.

That's my favourite shape. My mate had one and once rolling it was quicker than the 182! Not entirely sure how reliable they are with that many miles, but they are quick buggers!

8 year old car with high miles.

There is a Black 182 for £3.5k with 75k on it. I it a few months back.

Also there was a Ph2 172 Cup like Brosters for under £3k last week.

Rubbish.

There are quite a few 100k+ on CS.net and the only things to go wrong with them are wear and tear items such as suspension and the odd sensor which you'd expect from any car with that kind of mileage.

Agree with Fad on this.
High Mileage, i think you will find thats average miles for a 8 year old car, 12k per year.

love it whenever a car gets to 100k miles it not worth nothing as it over the hill.
How many XE/LET engines have done under 96,300 miles.........

Good price for a good car....

Can you not read?

I said from my experience, I've had 2 on 90 odd thou and both were smokey rattly rubbish.

I have mates with 106 gti's just ticked 100k and they're no better,

My 70 odd thou 306 xsi cracked the head,

I never said they're all this bad, I said from my own experience, so don't tell me I'm talking rubbish thank you.

Even if the engines last the rest of the car isn't the best put together, wouldn't like to see what else was falling off after that many miles.

By far the best looking models of the ClioSports. They have that raw factor about them.

And isnt average mileage 10k P/Y??

In my books mileage isnt an issue as long as the cars been looked after.Infact ive had cars with high mileage thats not came with much history. As long as you check it over good on the day and get a good drive out of it,then i see no problem.

Average p/y's meant to be 12k so that's actually got below average mileage
