i insured my old corsa with Ecar, and they were pretty good with my claim when someone ran into the back of me.
all got sorted within weeks.
i also added a GSI spoiler without notifying them which i thought may go against me but, had no problems
the only downside i found was that they are near dam impossible to get hold of on the phone.

Ive been with them for 3 years, they have been fine. You add the modifications yourself online, they have a very extensive list of modifications. I pay £300 on my sport with mods

It all boils down to location and risk etc.

But 1K on a 1.0?
With my 2nd year of driving with 1NCD and 1 SP30 my premium (all mods declared) was £920 and that was with flux.
With monthly payments just carest the £1002 mark over 12months.

£500 on a 1.2 8v FC

I'm 22 though, but got 3 points for a red light, and a fault claim in 2006 where I parked my bike in the side of a Golf.
