I like that but please don't add an extra R to your cars name in order to distinguish it from other comparable vehicles.

DAP sell a tuning package for the Nurburgring, so call it a Nurburgring-R.

I'll find the info.

Springs, diff & remap for £1499, considering the diff costs £995 fully fitted that isn't bad.

But yes, standard intercooler. So that in reality is only stage 2 as the 'Ring has the Remus already. Can't imagine it would make 290bhp though. 280 at an absolute push.

Is the issue with the standard intercooler related to inlet temps or airflow? If it's the former then there's no reason why it shouldn't make the power if it's mapped to do so if the conditions are right.

Not sure on the Astra if inlet temps are the issue, I know on the Corsa they are as it tends to run VERY hot and an intercooler is a must.

A few of the guys on VXRonline have said that when they had intercoolers fitted in the winter when they went from stage 2 to stage 3 which is the intercooler upgrade and a reflash of the ECU they didn't notice all that much difference as the cold weather was working just as well as the intercooler.
