Well it's a long time since I bothered to post anything like this on here!

Nothing fancy, just a thorough clean up to add some further protection to my C that I've not bothered cleaning for a couple of months now! (Partly because I cba with it, and partly because I've been pretty busy with Refined Detail, and I have to keep cleaning the van!!)

As you can see, it was pretty filthy!

Foamed with Bilt Hamber Autofoam and left to dwell for about 5 minutes whilst I cleaned arches, tyres and wheels with the foam and some Autosmart G101. All rinsed off at high pressure, lower halves of bodywork then sprayed with Autosmart Hazsafe and rinsed off to remove most of the salt and other crud that was baked on.

I then washed it using two bucket method, wash mitt and Megs gold class before rinsing off again and drying using Chemical guys drying towels and Autosmart Reglaze for lube. The car was still in good nick under all the crap from a pre Trax detail, so I was able to go straight to waxing it with Collinite 476s. Trim was treated with a product I'm trying out for next year - Black Wow, first impressions are good! Wheels were sealed with Collinite, tyres dressed with Autosmart Highstyle, Glass polished with Autosmart silverscreen and treated with Rain-X.

Afters:

Time taken - 1hr 45mins

That should see it through the rest of the winter now! As you can see, it's now fairly standard as I'm likely to be selling it, I have tried briefly this year, but it's not the right time to sell at all, so may hang on to it in standard form for another year when either my sister or my neighbour may buy it

Cheers

I didn't even notice when I first got it, but it gets noticed by everyone now

Cheaper than BL05 JDB - last time I looked, it was up for £1500!

Cheers

Thats not a thorough clean up on my car It was just a much needed tidy. I'd already spent 2 hours previous to that cleaning the van up and adding a 3rd coat of wax lol.

Sorting out the HIDs and de-rub stripping the van tomorrow

In that case, I can advise you to try Poorboys Black Hole topped with some long lasting wax to hide the defects

Bit like SRP but better (imo)

If you weren't so southern I'd get you round to correct my TT

Agree about the PB Black Hole it does hide quite alot of minor imperfections in the paint!

Yup - approximately 7 hours lol.

Other detailers do it - if you can get guaranteed work in a certain area to make it worth while, it's worth the effort!! Gets me meeting people off here too
