Just had an email asking if id be interested in a deal for this
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/830958.htm
This is my car btw
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/769086.htm
Only thing is insurance, currently with Churchill and they wont quote me for one, just got a quote off elephant, me with 3yncb, added mum and dad, and its £1105.91 FC, but should i go fully comp, or just TPFT?
Thing is im an apprentice and dont earn a right lot, and pay out a lot, atm my insurance is £78.86 a month on the Corsa fully comp, but the 106 would work out a little more than that, could probly stretch to £100 a month, but then its the hassle of changing companys and paying deposit etc. Is it worth it...

depends if you are happy with the corsa?
106 is lovely but take one for a drive first as they arnt for everyone.
Be prepared to spend out as well as they do ocasionally need a bit of tlc

Happy with the Corsa, but want a change.
Corsa has needed a few bits since i got it, done all rear brakes, water pump, cambelt kit, and now needs front pads. But mileage is quite high, where as the 106 is 70 odd, i drove 2 of my mates VTS's, 1's on 50k, other was on 126k, both seemed good, and pulled very very well. Arghhh dilemma!!

i regret buying my vts after only 2 months or so im ready to get summat else...and most probably back to a corsa...they are a far better car in performance...but in my experience the saxo's/gti's arent built to last...ive had summat go wrong with mine almost everyweek now...its a W reg with 70k on the clock...SOME VERY VERY BAD DESIGN IN THESE!!! welcome to the world of never having a working car! my corsa however NEVER...EVER skipped a beat..even when a bmw shagged it, it worked fine

Thats what im afraid of Rob. Ive had 5 corsa's now, never had anything else
1st was scrapped, my own fault for not looking after it
2nd was faultless, one Linch now has
3rd i got off Linch was screwed to death all the time, only prob was a snapped driveshaft which was my own fault for not changing the CV boot quick enough
4th i didnt even get home cause it blew up
5th (current) takes its share of hard driving, and only prob i had was water pump going.
Yet my mates VTS is a Y plate, with 50k, and hes had that about 5-6month and hasnt had a prob with that either.

IMO mate id look for summat else...they aint made to last...ive had it 2/3months as i said and its had loads of electrical problems...cv's going...when you think i drive it to and from work (1.1 mile away) and it cant even do this! I've spent more time underneath it than driving it...seriously wank designs about them...gotta admit very very fun cars tbh but just not built to last at all...i gave my corsa death all the time...driving 12 miles to work and back all the time...driving it day in day out...and it was sound like. I love the pugs/sax's but getting some cash together for problems mate...lad i bought it off kept all the receipts for it...lots of things been replaced for a 8 year old car!

It depends though, just becuase you have had 1 bad french car doesn't mean they will all be the same. I had no problems with my 106 what so ever, and that got death every time I was in it. I've had more problems with vauxhalls than I have with french cars.
