First day off for xmas today, managed to get myself a £60 fine and 3 points
Was driving through the local village when I seen my mum, pulled over let her in (on zigzag lines but right infront of the parking bays), I was there for about 30 seconds...as I go to pull out a police car pulls up next to me..
Got me in the back of the car and gave me the usual lecture blah blah..
This is what pisses me off though, I accept that I shouldn't of been parked there, fair enough, but them giving me a £60 fine and 3 points for sitting at the side of the road for 30 seconds while they where stopped in the middle of the road blocking the left hand lane of a main road for 10 minutes giving me the ticket and causing a major delay.
Probably could of just got a talking to if I hadn't pointed out that they where causing more of an obstruction than I ever was, threatend to arrest me for that bit of news lol, could of kept me cool but couldn't be assed kissin there asses today. Rant mode off

It's well known that you'll get shafted for parking on zig zags.
I'll dump the car most places but never on zig zags.

These are the reason coppers get disliked. It would obviously be clear that you were letting somebody in your car.
It also makes me laugh when they obstruct the road, one rule for one, one for another and all that.

Unlucky but tough luck. Park on double yellows, I would move you on but not ticket. On zigzags you get a ticket from me every time. I don't care whether its for 30 seconds or minutes. If you are on the crossing and someone is knocked down because a motorist can't see them because of your parking, how would you feel then? Guilty as hell i bet.
Take the fine and points, i know officers who have taken people to court for it, and they don't lose in court.

I've mostly found that the Policeman are cocks, if you are cheeky.
Tonight I received 3 points for speeding, when it could certainly have been worse. But I had a chat with the Policemen, and they decided to cut me some slack. I'm more than thankful, and accept that if I break the law and get caught, then I have to pay the price.

The police are no help really, i had my car stolen they chased and recovered the car it was perfectly fine to drive but they impounded it and therefore cost me £100 and the delinquent that stole my car got a slap on the wrist. Conclusion the police are mostly incooperable

Me and the old bill have a lot of history so I stand by my comment, the last time I crashed they chucked me in the back of a van and were rather rude to me and I was so upset.

You would hope so when you pay for the service.

a whole 6 months lol.
they took the piss out of me when i crashed my car and were quite humerous which helped calm me down and feel better.
admitedly they didn't bother showing up when i had my window put through on the way to work, but i'd rather them do something productive and help others then waste their time taking a statement off me which won't go any further.
some people should think before they comment to try and look "cool" in front of others

I've found this too. I've been caught speeding/driving "spiritedly" several times but only got 3 points once and it was fully justified.
I find if you polite and accept you did wrong and look genuinely sorry for your actions ( ) they tend to be quite lenient and let you on your way with a slapped wrist.
Sorry to hear about the 3 points Eck

Where was this ian?
Watch out for speeding on namely fishers lane, irby road, stretch or road from anchor pub to thingwall corner and the stretch from caldy rugby club right through to the merc garage.
All places iv seen traps and umarked cars pullin people over in last week or so

I got caught speeding last week also, on a corner where a pedestrian was killed a week ago (I didnt know this)
When I seen them they were driving down a road, I knew I was speeding and didnt know they had a gun. I follishly said I was doing 65/70. Turns out I was doing 82. Offered me court, or the points and fine. I admitted defeat that id been caught, took my ticket and went on my way
And going by Kevxx's comment, I dont think the world would be a better place if we got rid of them.
The laws there, if you break it and get caught then its your own fault - not theirs
