just read through this project and what can i say.. amazing car, nice one Stavs/Ian.

as for the re-trimming on the A,B,C pillars did you have to sand/smooth the texture on the plastic first or did the material stick ok with spray adhesive?

Cheers Danny.

Yes the A, B, C pillers, i got some sandpaper from B&Q (don't know what grade) and sanded them right down so all the plasticyness was gone and till there was no like shine.
I then sanded till they where smoothish then got some white spirits and wiped them down with that.
Once they where dry i then sprayed the spray adhesive on to the piller and then onto the material and left for 5 mins till they went really sticky.
Then put mateerial on to pillers making sure it stays as tight as fuck.
Then trim edges.
Job done!!

Right well bit of an update since i have last posted on here the car has sort of took a back seat Me and my better half have bought a house or are int eh process of so thats took priority and will do for the next few months.

Anyway as the seats hadn't gone in by the time we had sorted things we have decided to swap them with Stavs's Astra gsi seats. Yes some may say WHY but if you think back the Astra GSI seats are what i wanted in the first place . The VXR seats take a lot of work and a fair few pennies to actually get in. So i have decided to swap as it frees up some cash which i can put towards my new house. So fingers crossed they should be in by PV.

I painted all the arches, sill's and bumper's with the same primer, paint and laquer so there is no difference in colour, all silver car's seem to have diffrent shades at diffrent angle's, my astra is the same
