Basicly my car failed the mot, and i had to pay £207 for new tracking rods, wheel bearing osr, now to me i dont think its been done, i plan to take the wheels off tomorow to check..

but where do i stand, who do i contact to say that they havent done what they have said they have done?

it did sound dodgey when we phoned him, he said come at 2 not 4 make sure your here for 2, and wanted us to pay cash.. but my parents were aderment to do it on the bank card. as the bloke claimed he didnt know how to use the debt machine.

ive had my car 6 months, and paid £950 for a M reg which now has mot dec 09.

id be greatful with some help.
cheers

Ask him to stick it up on the ramp & show you what he replaced as your interested in whats had to be done to your car!? Asking thats not unresonable.

When you get to the garage, ask to see your original "broke" parts and see the reciepts for the new parts. If he can't provide those then what have you paid for exactly??

£207 for new tracking rods... shittt...

Part for my "newer" Ibiza was only £27 one side

Get down there, tell him youdon't have cash, get one of your rents to pay on a CREDIT CARD, get under the car and look what he's replaced.

What makes you think it hasn't been done? You can't really complain just because you don't think it has.

just take it to another garage, ask them to check, give them £20. if it hasnt been done contact ministry and put a complaint in. if he has quoted £207 and you accepted there is nothing you can do about price. You have payed a lot if thats all he has done

There is no 'bolts' on a track rod end? Which I assume is what he is supposed to have changed.
