Basically i had a 1996 1.4 sport few months ago and paid about 1500 on insurance so now i dont have it.Ive got a 1994/1993 SRI 1.4 and insurance am getting quotes for is alot more money y is this lol? so in insurance terms is a SRI more to insure than a sport..

yes because of the image of an SRi hence vauxhal changed it to 'sport'

my sri was about £400 cheaper that a sport insure

It's older and you haven't owned it for as long, plus some insurers add more on if it sounds high risk. I paid less on an R reg than I was on an N reg even though the engines and security were identical.

yea my mate has a 1.4 306 and insurance company told him he should of gone for the 1.6 as it would of been cheaper. he said they rated it by his age, then engine size and the amount of people that age have crashed them

i remember when i passed my test and tried to get insurance on my Sri..
my highest quote was £4100...i was like "ITS A CORSA NOT A FUCKIN FERRARI" they didnt respond...  ridiculous! got it at £1700 in the end
now i pay £900 quid

Yeah it was on my dads, but none. He has two policies, one with my mum on for the Vectra, and started one with me on for my corsa when i got it. It was less that 600 too, was £45 a month.

wish that would happen to me..... £194 a month i have to pay.... plus i gotta put money towards makin the car how i want it to look lol..... think i might have to sell soon...
