The headgasket gasket on my 307 2.0 Hdi has gone and currently getting fixed...

Is it worth changing oil when i get it back?

(Not due an change for 5k)

who ever is doing it should change it for you, if not then i will be like mine with stil some water in it

Mine has 17k more to go before a service.. its on an 18k schedule

And the new Alfa's work on a 21k service schedule

my rule, 150 miles after hg, oil change, then another 500 after that, then back to the 3k/3months rule...

it'll get water/swarf in the galleries when they flat the block, lift the head off..

deffinatly worth doing.

better to be safe then sorry
just had my head gasket done
and only been serviced a month ago
but rather have knowledge it wont need checking anytime soon

I'd be doing more oil changes than showers using that rule

I'm on 20k service intervals and do the oil in between - gets fresh oil every 10k which is every 4/5 months.
