Any good ones? Cheap as possible?

Why dont you want dell? They are good quality for what you get.

The one im on now the battery only lasted a year & its £120 for a new one!

We use Dells at work, the Latitude D630 and i have to say they a great piece of kit. Even the older D600 are still good for what they are if i was looking for a new laptop i would go dell.

Just phone up before the year and tell them it's failing and get a new one.

Batteries are hit and miss though.

Ive got an Inspiron 1720. Its been ok, but the battery dieing within a year puts me off having another!!

It was just outside a year, thus out of warranty.

Few folk ive spoken to have had the same happen with the Dells.

Aye if you got another one just phone up within a year and get it replaced anyway.

I've got 3 here from a couple of years old down to under a year and they're all working fine.
