...spent the whole day writing and recording for a new band. My and a mate who were in a band who split up this January decided we were sick of waiting around so got some songs wrote and recorded them.

The Sound Of Grace

Our myspace is above. Please check them out and let me know what you think. I know it won't be to everyones tastes but have a listen. I did all instrumentation, production and mixing. I must say I'm very happy with how the songs turned out considering I did it all in my bedroom with nothing but my PC, guitars and lots of drink!

Cheers.

Thinks part of the track

although pretty cool stuff, sounds a little muddy but that could be down to the mp3 compression.
I'm guessing you used something like Cubase/Nuendo/Sonar for the tracking? What did you use for the drums? Sample libary/BFD?

Is that funny because you think it wasn't intentional? Because if so you're wrong

I used Cubase.

You're right about the metronome. Yeh Myspace only allows MP3's to be uploaded and then they compress them even more

Yeh used Cubase. The drums are audio samples I took of my kit and obviously arranged them in the pool.

Pretty impressed with the kit - guessing you recorded single hits from your kit then arranged them in Cubase's multi-tracker window?
What's the rest of your gear list?

Jacko - unless in desperate need, BFD, EzDrummer, EastWest's Libaries are all pretty naff, sound very artifical to be used commercially. Plus BFD is ridiculous in size - currently sits in at 146GB on my system Only thing they are useful for is "tickling the underneath" (my lecturers saying, Mark Mynett - www.mynetaur.com) of your tracked kit - which is what a lot of metal producers do (there is a really really good drumkit library by an old american metal producer, did have the link a while ago but have missed placed it )
NDK library might be worth listening to though, personally think it sounds a little better than BFD and the likes, not massively mind you.
